The World's Newest Presents Author

I believe I've mentioned before how much I love a new sale story and today I bring news of the world's latest Presents signing. Annie West is a fellow Australian and one of the loveliest ladies you could ever meet. More than that, Ann has kept pursuing her dream-career of writing for Harlequin through nine years and many submissions and loads of contest successes and many almost-there moments.

When the senior editor of HM&B Modern (marketed in America as Presents) requested revisions on her latest manuscript, she could barely hope to dream for fear of another almost-but-not-quite disappointment. But of course she nailed those revisions in spectacular fashion and yesterday learned the fabulous news. A first sale to her favorite category line--it doesn't get much better than that!

Annie's success is a testament to her talent, determination and hard work. Her
first book is tentatively titled Mistress For the Taking and I'm looking forward to reading it and many more Annie West titles in the future.

Wow, Bron! Finding my story on your fantastic (award winning) website is such a thrill. Almost as much as hearing about the acceptance. Almost.

It was enormously exciting discovering that my book is going to appear on the shelves as a Presents romance. And sharing the news has been such fun. There are so many positive, talented writers happy to celebrate with me.

No wonder writing romance is such fun!

I'm definitely still floating. In fact I'm so befuddled I forgot to bother organising food for the family today!

Thanks for the congrats, Heather.

I don't know how our hostess copes with the euphoria when she has so many successful books and awards. What's been your favourite success lately, Bron?

Dena, I love promoting other authors whose achievements I admire and whose books I love.

What's been your favourite success lately, Bron?

Oh, wow, tough question, Annie. How about finally working out the problem with ch3 of my wip, which has been driving me nuts for weeks now. *g*

Seriously, as much as I enjoy the affirmations of contests or awards, my favorite successes are approval of a proposal or finishing a book. Those events make me practically giddy with joy.

Oh, and I've also really enjoyed the reader mail I've received re my Princes of the Outback books. Knowing readers are enjoying my books is always my #1 favorite success.

Thanks everyone for the positive vibes.

Bron, I bet you've had some excellent feedback on the Princes of the Outback - that must be a wonderful feeling!

Actually I'd be feeling pretty chuffed too about some of the covers you've had recently - they look terrific. And I've just been looking at Nalini's covers too - don't they look great?

*Squeal.* Oh thank you, Heather, and thank you again. *Happy dancing*

Oh, yes, I absolutely agree, Annie. Keep watching for the collection of gorgeous ones I'm featuring this coming week.
