Seven for Seven

I have been tagged three times with this meme over the last few weeks and finally I have time to come out to play! So, here are my lists of seven, courtesy of Gail Dayton and Carol Stephenson and Nalini Singh. Aside: is it just me or has the word "seven" never been the same since THAT movie? Shudder.

7 things to do before I die:

1. Submit one (just one!) book earlier than the last minute of the last deadline day
2. Rent a fabulously inspiring place (a Tuscan villa, a mountain cabin, a 5-star hotel penthouse) for a couple of months and write a complete book while there
3. See an opera
4. Fly first class
5. Play blackjack in Monte Carlo
6. Spoil my grandkids (but, hopefully, not for quite a few years yet!)
7. Read all the books in my TBR pile.

7 things I cannot do:

1. Stick to a chocolate-free diet
2. Waterski
3. Make a sponge cake
4. Ignore a good sale
5. Touch a snake or a spider or a mouse or anything that slithers or skitters or has too many legs!
6. Kill anything (except mosquitos)
7. Read the instruction manual before trying out a new gadget.

7 things that attract me to men:

1. Biceps
2. Hands
3. Ab's
4. The way they move, sit, lounge
5. Their cute cluelessness when it comes to stuff like the importance of chocolate and why LOST is not about the plot and deciding which shirt to wear with which trousers
6. Their ability to singlemindedly go after what's important
7. How they don't panic in an emergency.

7 things I say most often:
1. (insert middle child's name), what are you doing in my office? You know you're not allowed to touch that computer.
2. (insert middle child's name), are you in my office again?
3. (insert middle child's name), please don't do that!
4. (insert middle child's name), did you leave the gate open?
5. (insert middle child's name), did you let all the horses out?
6. (insert middle child's name), please don't let the dog lick your ice-cream!
7. (insert middle child's name), love you, buddy.

7 Books or Series I love:: (I already have my favourite books listed on my website so I'm going for 7 series I love)

1. Suzanne Brockmann: Tall Dark and Dangerous SEALs
2. Ruth Wind: The Last Roundup
3. Susan Elizabeth Phillips: Chicago Stars
4. Anne McAllister: Code of the West
5. Catherine Coulter: the Sherbrooke siblings
6. Nora Roberts: the McKade brothers
7. Nora Roberts: Chesapeake Bay.

1. Pretty Woman
2. Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid
3. The Big Easy
4. Christmas Vacation
5. Pride and Prejudice
6. Shrek 2
7. Clueless

7 people I want to join in (tag, you're it):

1. Jennie Adams
2. Charlene Sands
3. Janice Lynn
4. Heather, Word Trix
5. Fiona Lowe
6. Ally Blake
7. Tanya Michaels

Hi Bron, I've been givin fun list questionaires before but nothing like this 7 for 7. There like fav color, fav ice cream, fav movie, who do you think will respond to it etc.. This would be a lot more challenging to do I think. I love Catherine Coulters Sherbrooke series too.I could watch 1,5,6,and 7 over and over too.I also can with the Fifth Element,Grease,Dirty Dancing,6 Days 7 Nights.Things I say most often lately is No,get down,stop,etc.. we have a new puppy. Well I definitely would have to think about things before I die.I hope everyone has a great day.

Hmph, my first ever tag--not sure how I feel about this, but it gives me an excuse to further procrastinate rewriting a chapter that needs it :-) LOL at the 7 things you say most often and, yes, the word 7 has made me shudder since I made the mistake of watching that movie. (Years ago and just the once, but still the occasional nightmare *g*)

Seven was a scary, scary movie. So was The Ring. Never again. Ever.(Not even if you bribe me with Tim Tams).

Dena, I had much fun with this once I got past the whiney "this is too hard!" stage. Of course I ended up way WAY too many movies and books/series and had to seriously cull. And I will go on thinking about the "7 things before I die" list because I'm sure I have more grounded ambitions than flying first class. :)

Welcome to procrastination central, Tanya. I also have a chapter that needs serious work...which is why I'm here reading blog comments and trying to add a tagbox.

Nalini, that movie still haunts me. Ugh. I guess that's what makes it such a successful horror/thriller. Note to self: never watch The Ring. I like sleeping nights. :)

Want more Anne McAllister, Code of the West books.

Aren't they wonderful, Christa? Anne is an awesome writer and I love her Presents books, also. The new Desire Authors website lists her next release as April 06: THE ANTONIDES MARRIAGE DEAL. Excellent.

I've taken up the challenge, Bron! As an avid - actually addicted would be a better word - listmaker, I couldn't help myself.

I really have to read the SEP Chicago Stars books. I've been hearing so much about them recently.

And I for one looooove the movie "Seven". Creepy to be sure, but utterly brilliant. Though perhaps not surprisinlgy not one that ended up on my "I can watch these over and over" list. ;) Oooh, Dena, "The Fifth Element"! That's a definite over and over again movie. Are you sure I can only pick 7???

Back to proof edits now, I promise!

Hi Bron,

I'm not sure what a "tag" is exactly, but I do love your list!
Favorite movies for me include, Pretty Woman, Dirty Dancing, Tin Cup, First 3 Star Wars (where did that come from?) and oldies like: It Happened One Night, Houseboat, Move Over Darling -- anything Cary Grant and Doris Day!

I love and miss LaVyle Spencer's books. Have read them all, love Janet Evanovich and Susan Elizabeth Phillips and ditto. Too many others to name!

And some things to do before I die?
Have grandchildren (hurry up kids!)
Meet the President (any one, doesn't matter)
Make the bestseller list
Own a home away from home
Win a poker tournament
See my nephew make it to the major leagues

Bron - So glad to be working on Fortunes with you! I've gotten synopsis approval and have written one chapter already! (which is why this is late getting to you) It's going to be a good series.

Hey, Charlene. The "tag" is really just an invitation to do your own 7 for 7 lists on your blog...if you want.

And ditto on the Fortunes series. I'll be talking to you soon about that--once I get some other work out of the way!
