A Special Superheroine

Hands up if you knew about International Women's Day last week? (No prizes, by the way, I'm flush out of them!) I DID notice and aimed to blog on that topic, but then I got busy with my trip to Sydney and things that needed doing before I went. You're all women. You know what it's like.

Soooo, it didn't get done and now the day is past and I've decided I could not write a better tribute to a special woman than my good friend Trish Morey has done on the Wet Noodle Posse's Superheroines page. This is one very special superheroine. Do check it out.

I actually did know International Women's Day was last week (it is, after all, women's history month). The radio station I listen to played a string of songs celebrating women during their lunch time show that day.

Great info on a great lady and family.To take in a care for such helpless and beautiful animals is so wonderful and selfless.I would definitely want to hold kangaroos and other native wild life if I ever make it down there!

It says "Trish Morey lives not far from her mother Rosemary..." so Trish was writing about her own mum! How very proud she must be. And what a neat lady to have taken in these animals and nursed them back to health.

Bron, how cool to sign on see the mention of Trish's great article. When she sent it to me for the WNP site, I read through the whole thing without knowing it was her mom. Not until I read the bio at the end. I e-mailed her and went, "It's your mom. How cool!"
