Happy Mothers Day...

...to all mothers, everywhere. Personally I think we deserve to be feted and spoiled and waited upon every day of the year, but since that is never going to happen let's just make the most of this one day. I'm cooking lunch for my Mum and then we will probably go for a drive to visit with two of my sisters this evening. I don't see them nearly enough, but when we do get together there is much talking and much laughter. Their company is the perfect antidote to the male-dominated household in which I live!

This morning I was up early to get a bit of writing done before I need to clean the house, which I would rather not do on Mothers Day but I mentioned my Mum is coming for lunch, didn't I? So I need to at least pick up and wave a vaccuum cleaner around. At least. But I digress. I was up early this morning and when I looked out my office window, here is what I saw nibbling on the lawn...

This is not a common occurrence, I might add, and I was completely tickled to have such an unexpected early-morning visitor. My very own Mothers' Day surprise. Priceless!

You have a very nice looking family Bron, thats wonderful you could spent some time with them all. This time of year is bittersweet for me, I'm happy for everyone that has a mother but am envious too because I miss my mom so much,it would have been her b-day in June also so I get very emotional in the spring.

What a beautiful scene and cute roo,do you ever see koala's?

That is just too darn cool to have a kangaroo out in the yard.

I have possums. You have a kangaroo. Sheesh!

I had to laugh about your male-dominated household cause I live in one too, though the balance has shifted since the boys have graduated from college. (I did mention that #2 son graduated weekend before last, didn't I?)

I saw this website in the newspaper and haven't had time to peruse it, but it seems a good idea. It's so hard to be the minority in a fraternity.

Love the 'roo pic, Bron. So mystical looking with all the fog and the trees in the distance. Thanks for sharing!

Koalas, no, not where I live. (And thank you fo not adding "bear" onto the end.) Just the odd kangaroo, wallaby and echidna.

Hi, Heather, Trish, Kim, Yvonne. *waving*

And special hugginess for Dena. Wish I could send the roo around to your place, but it hasn't been seen again since Sunday.

Marilyn, I've just taken a look at It's Good to be a Queen. What a very cool website--I had a good smile at her observations. Bron
