Tuesday Tip: Australian Idol

If one has an obsessive nature *cough*, then one should not prod said nature by watching audition shows for Idol. I don't want to be watching this series. Really, I don't. But I watched the audition shows and now I Cannot Stop. Intervention necessary.

I try not to watch those shows. When The Singing Bee started it was only on for a half hour. Right after America's Got Talent. So I always caught the tail end and then every week I would tune in earlier and earlier until I tuned in to catch the start of it. But now it's done and The Singing Bee won't be back on til Sept 17.

Ah, go on, Bron. Give in to the Dark Side. It's not as if you're riddled with vices... cough!

Christa, we bonded over Rockstar (the first one), remember? So I know you can be tempted. *g*

And, Yvonne, another Rockstar fiend. Do you watch Idol as well?

Bron, who thought she'd given in but going on the talent being voted through into the final 12, may not need intervention after all

I wonder if they will have another Rockstar. On one of the season's(I think the first) there was one contestants named Susie MacNeil. She has a cd out now and I've seen her video plus she's playing at some of the clubs in Toronto.

Nnnnh, Idol doesn't really do it for me. Don't know why. Here in NZ we have our own version (which has yielded disappointing results IMESHO) the Aussie version and the US version. Kind of get idolled out after all that.

Now, Rockstar. That was a whole different kettle of fish.

Ooh, Christa I remember her...possibly because her name is the same as an iconic Aussie swimstar. *g*

Yvonne, smart woman. And yet you're elbowing me to the dark side? *g* The good news: I often tire of these things when the entertainment value sags. Which it inevitably does. I'll watch the Wild Card show this Sunday then see after that.
