Happy Birthday to the Little Pink Dancing Man!!!Yep, he turns one this month -- although I'm assuming that dancing-heart years are a bit like dog-years or horse-years, because this little guy's been doing the rounds and partying hardy far too much for an infant!
If you don't know what I'm gabbling on about, then you obviously are not a regular at
The Pink Heart Society, a fabuloso blogazine that celebrates the fun, the romance (and the men!) of category romance.

And to celebrate PHS's first successful year, the site is running a
Birthday Treasure Hunt in which I am participating and today's my day. My clue: I've chosen these hip-hop dancing shoes for the Dancing Pink Heart-Guy, to ensure those little feet don't wear out during all the excitement and all the celebratory dancing this month.
Congratulations, Pink Heart Society, and a big shout out to the magnifique writers who gave birth to the idea (a couple have given, or are about to give, birth to their own little bundle of joys...but I digress.) Thank you, Ally, Nic, Trish, Natasha and Jenna. You rock!
NOTE THE DATE ON THIS POST FOR THE TREASURE HUNT CLUE: I'm posting this early before going into serious writing retreat, so deep in the cave that the internetz can't find me.

I think that's the title for my current book, which I am about to go underground to complete. It has been titled many things during the several years (yes, I did say years!) it has taken to come to fruition -- touch wood, because this time I really do think it is working!!) This is the collage which is not exactly a work of art, but an inspiration for my characters and the Tasmanian seaside setting. Of course, I managed to cut off the left side in photographing but that's me and a camera and I'm too busy to photoshop and crop.
"Everyone must row with the oars he has."An English proverb, according to the desk calendar, but not one I've heard before. I like it though. Concise and accurate, don't you think?

I rather like that title, which is a roughish (and amateur) translation of the German version of The Bought-and-Paid-For Wife. I like it significantly more than the first version the translation engine came up with: The Enemy That I Debauched. *g*
According to
Cora the book is now available in all its German glory. I'm quite liking the cover...although is it just me or does she look a little bit pregnant?

"One joy scatters a hundred griefs." CHINESE PROVERBOf course, if one is a glass-half-empty type person, then one might look at this from the flip side: one grief shatters a hundred joys. But today I'm feeling glass-half-full. How about you?

I didn't forget, but I have been busy. Small matter of a book due to my editor this month. But I have drawn a winner in my August giveaway; this post under Speaking of Licorice...

That's something I've never had before either. Sounds really good though. And, of course, I think it's a fabulous idea. Posted by cas2ajs : 12:43 PM.
Congratulations, Cheryl.
