Birthdays Ahoy!

It is birthday season in my family. #1 son celebrates tomorrow (and I am NOT making him a caterpillar cake for his 23rd, LOL!) and within a two week window there will be gifts, cards and cakes for two nieces, one nephew, two brothers in law, one sister in law, one neighbour and yours truly. May is an expensive month but also a fun month. Who doesn't love a birthday?

So, many happy returns to Steph, Sam, Andrew, Hayley, Rob, Tom, Ed, Ian and moi. Several of whom feature in this picture along with the rainbow cake my mum always made for the family birthday party. The best cake, evah.

My favorite birthday cake was the one I made for my daughter for her 13th birthday last year. She's was into all things Egyptian and I made a pyramid cake for her. It turned out way cool. She's a May baby too. Her birthday is this Sunday. Happy Birthday to all your family celebrating birthdays in May!

Happy Birthday..Bron.
My favorite birthday present was just flowers.. I've had much more expensive presents but it was the person who gave it to me. She was a friend, and we parted on not very good terms. I felt really great that even though we might not be the same very close friends we used to be, we'll still be able to treat each other in a friendly way. That was a great birthday present coming from an unexpected person.

Happy Birthday to you, your son and your other family members.

My mom never baked a birthday cake for us, she's not much of a baker. We always looked forward to our birthday cake because it was from Carvel's. They specialized in ice cream cakes with cookie crunch in the middle. When I was a kid, my mom gave me a necklace with a Mickey Mouse charm. It's my favorite birthday gift ever.

Hi Bron, A BIG HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ONE AND ALL!!!!

My favorite birthday bash was my sons first birthday when he had his own special little cake. He had it all over himself and the kitchen, but it was so cute.

You should make your son another Caterpillar cake or order him one.

My hubby works for Caterpillar but I never thought about making him a cake with dozers or something on it. Might do that next time.

happy birthday to all in may.
my favourite birthday was for my sweet sixteen birthday. there was this double chocolate fudge cake with perfect pink icing roses, i also got my first grown up perfume, vanilla musk and jewellry, an amythst pendant. the tradition continues from this where every birthday i get some type of jewellry.

Hi Bron, have a happy May birthday month. My favourite birthday was for my seventh birthday. The theme was a princess setting and i had this cute pink puff dress and a tiara and bright pink shoes. I still have them all in my closet.

Happy birthday to you and yours, Bron! I have soooo many friends with birthdays in May.

When I was at Uni (way back when) I was the 'Cake Lady'. Whenever somebody had a birthday I would make a cake, write their name on it with Smarties and decorate it with jelly babies. In answer, when I turned 21 my friends all got together and cooked me 21 birthday cakes and made a tower out of them (several towers actually). We were eating frozen cake for months!

Hi Bronwyn, what fun! Happy birthday to all of you! For me, June is the birthday month. One friend, his bday is on the 1st. My sister was born 20 days later. I was born a week and 3 yrs later, and his sister was born 5 days after me. Then there are friends with birthdays on the 3rd, 6th, 12th, 16th, 23th, 24th, 27th, 29th, and those are just the ones I can think of off the top of my head. And a lot of those dates are doubled up too (or tripled - I think the most I know is 5 people with the same birthday in June)!
My favorite surprise might be my 21st, where a friend got together a group of friends, but only told me that she wanted to take me to dinner. Or, my favorite cake (I can't remember if it was ice cream...) was a custom made Minnie Mouse cake my sister and I had when we were so little. (We always had combined birthday parties.)
