Blue's ahead so far, LOL. Personally I agree. Blue shirts are my favourite, yellow not so much. :-/ Interesting that they chose a different version for Australia. Maybe they thought the original didn't look like Tasmania (or San Francisco) where the book is set. I think it was Jan who suggested it looked like Havana. LOL.
Re the chair: Christa, at first I thought that was a railing of a balcony but now I've checked again and it looks like a white chair. I think the depiction is "resort" and so like balcony or outdoor chairs.
Also, I have seen the Australian office choose slightly different versions of cover art for several recent Desires. Same models, different pose or different background. It seems that the artist does several versions which are then available to the editorial teams.
I actually like the yellow shirt with the yellow tie altho if the blue shirt had a matching blue tie I would like it better. I just don't like the three color combination of the blue jacket, different blue shirt, and yellow tie.
Blue shirt. Definitely. But I agree with losing the yellow tie (in both versions.) Shame the Aus cover didn't have him in an open necked shirt. Still corporate, but relaxed corporate...y'know?
Ellen, agree that the combination of colours does not work. What's with the yellow tie, anyway? I'm too busy (not lazy, busy!) to check, but I'm pretty sure I've seen it used on other Desires. Perhaps it's the eye-catching colour they like. *shrug*
Yvonne, I agree that a more relaxed look would have suited the resort setting better. Can't be sure without checking, but I doubt I put him in a tie in the book. Black trousers, shirt, open neck comes to mind. And sometimes less. *g*
Hi Liz. Am currently enjoying your yummy Bride's Baby.
Azteclady, it is a more eyectaching background and the darker look matches the story. Just not the palm tress.
