Just When I Thought It Would Never Happen...

...The Princes Go Spanish, ole!

Spanish is usually the first translation we see of our books, as Harlequin does a Spanish language translation for the North American market several months after the English. They don't do all Desires, but most. So after the 2005 release of my Princes of the Outback trilogy, I watched and I waited but alas no Spanish translation in 2006 or 2007. :(

I'd given up and then, lo, it appears. Harlequin Deseo in September 2008. You can't imagine how happy I am. Friends, I will stop whining now, honest, although I would still love to see the series in eBook. For now, Spanish has made me insanely happy. Hopefully the other "Princes" will follow.

Entre el alma y la piel (2008)
Serie: Príncipes de las llanuras australianas
Título Original: The rugged loner (2005)
Género: Contemporáneo
Protagonistas: Tomas Carlisle y Angelina Mori

Aside: the title translates as "Among the soul and skin"...although I dare say there is a more poetic interpretation than the machine translation.

Congratulations, Bron! It doesn't make any sense to me why it took them so long to publish the "Princes" in Spanish. *scratching my head*

"Entre el alma y la piel" would be better translated as "between the soul and the skin", I think...

*ahem*

Have a great weekend, Bron!

Azteclady, I KNEW you would be able to provide a more meaningful translation than that wretched computer generated one. Between the soul and the skin is quite poetic, I think. :)

Susan, I wondered if the books had been overlooked because of the outback setting or because they are so closely linked. As oppsoed to some trilogies where the three books really stand alone. And perhaps it was just an oversight. And perhaps I am, as usual, overanalysing. Whatever the reason, I am tickled.

Thanks for the congrat's, ladies.
