~ June/July News

Big news the last week of July was the appearance of Magnate's Make-Believe Mistress in People magazine, Book section, as a recommendation by SB Sarah. Read all about  it on the Smart Bitches Trashy Books blog.

July brings the American release of  Magnate's Make-Believe Mistress, and an appearance on the Borders Group (formerly Waldenbooks) Series Bestsellers list. eHarlequin Australia has also released the ANZ version via their on-line bookstore.  It will be available elsewhere in mid-August.

Warming up the winter chill is news of my first release in India. Magnate's Make-Believe Mistress is a July release from Mills & Boon and comes with an added extra: Cristo gets to be MAN of the MONTH. Always wanted one of those flashes on a cover! This brings my total markets to twenty-seven. Fun.

~ April/May News

Latest and greatest news:  my new website, courtesy of the amazingly talented Paula Roe.  I've cut back a few things including my blog.  I'm going to concentrate my efforts on group blogs for the moment.  In early May the Silhouette Desire Authors kicked off their combined blog at eHarlequin, with many free book giveaways.  The place to chat about all things Desire.  See you there!

The cover for Magnate's Make-Believe Mistress showed up on Amazon and B&N.  Isn't it gorgeous?  The models bear an uncanny likeness to Cristo and Isabelle, and I love the passion and intensity captured in their faces.  Isabelle's red dress is straight from the pages of the book and the background might well be Chisholm Park, Cristo's country estate where they escape for a little privacy and peace and polo.  And more than a little pleasure.

I'm delighted to have two releases in the UK in May.  Tycoon's One-Night Revenge is available in a Desire Duo with Leanne Bank's Bedded by the Billionaire and also as a large print, hard cover.  My first in that format!  Twas very exciting to receive my author copies, one of which went straight to my local library.  And, boy, that large print sure is large!

Also out in the UK is a re-release of Beyond Control, in a three-in-one titled Irresistible AttractionBeyond Control features my first cool-on-the-outside, hot-where-it-matters Englishman, Sebastian Sinclair, who butts heads (and lips) with sassy hairdresser Kree O'Sullivan.  If you missed this book first time around, you can buy it now from The Book Depository.  No postage, worldwide, what a cool/hot deal.

Lots of other foreign releases landed in my post box, as they often do at this time of year.  The Japanese cover treatment of Vows & A Vengeful Groom is very pretty -- it's been such fun to track the series on its world tour.  Webmistress extraordinaire Paula Roe has been updating the Diamonds Down Under site as the new covers show up.  I never grow tired or less excited to see my books appear in all their guises.  It's like wardrobe changes (one of my favourite things!), with only the outer dress changing while the heart and body and soul remain the same.

Speaking of my amnesiac tycoon:  Tycoon's One-Night Revenge was a finalist in the Short Contemporary category of the Colorado Romance Writers' Award of Excellence.  Although I didn't win, I'm honoured to be a finalist for the third time.  Quade: The Irresistible One and The Rugged Loner were also finalists in years gone by.
Magnate's Make-Believe Mistress was one of two Harlequins included in the Save the Contemporary Celebrates Category Romance August viral campaign, with free giveaways and prizes and loads of win!win!win!, thanks to Smart Bitches, Trashy Books, Dear Author and eHarlequin

Dear Author reviewed Magnate and enjoyed it considerably more than last year's Stranger.  A gorgeously spoiler-free B+.  "The biggest compliment for this book is that when I thought the book would take a right turn, it always took the left turn."

Romance Writers of Australia's blog debuted.  Check the roundup from conference, August 14-16.  Also my spotlight from earlier in the month.
